Casual Conversation with Melissa Miller, PhD - Science Officer at Ripple Effect Communications

Melissa Miller, PhD is a Science Officer for Ripple Effect Communications, Inc. supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). As a science officer, Melissa helps to shepherd biomedical research awards through the entire grant life-cycle, from recommendation of funding all the way to award closeout. Her primary responsibility is as the technical advisor for funded investigators to help guide them through the complexities involved with entering into a partnership with the government. Prior to her employment with Ripple Effect, Melissa received her PhD from JHMI in 2012 as part of the CMM program after which she had a successful postdoctoral fellowship with a dual position at the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco.
